Fish without Flash

Having just spent two weeks in Kalkan I thought I had to share a stunning experience with you. Driving back from Kas I came across a shack on the left side of the road advertising fresh fish and decided to stop for lunch.
No frills but the best fish I have ever eaten, it is a family run cafe Mustapha will help you choose your fish and his Mother will peel the potatoes and make you the freshest salad you could eat, washed down with Effes beer totally superb. Four of us eat all we could manage and the bill was YTL80 we returned 5 times and the standard was 5 star each time. He told us he is open all year so we will be back in Feb, but please if you like your fish please call you will have a warm welcome. I don''t know if this falls in the realm of advertising, I certainly have no monetary interest. Would love to hear your views

I seem to remember someone else posting about this place..sounds just what we like..we don''t do posh and flashy!!i shall certainly look out for it next time i''m out in Kalkan!

It sounds great and we will definitely pay a visit but where exactly is it on the Kas road?

Yes, I posted a right-up on this place about 3 months ago, it is really good, and as already said on this thread, the service, food and cost all make it a must visit, the only thing not said is the stunning views soooo nice

It sounds like the one on the right after Kaputas beach on the way to Kas. We have eaten there many times and have had great fresh fish, cooked simply and with lovely salad and home made chips. we would also recommend it but bear in mind that the toilets aren''t the best.
