Reading an electricity bill

Can anyone tell me which bit of the electricity bill (ie which turkish words) tell you what the total electricity used is. This is so I can compare the useage year on year, rather than the cost which of course doesn''t stay static.

You need the son endeks (last reading) and the ilk endeks (first reading) there are night rates also and the time period can vary. Normally at the end it tells you the total and how much is owing from previous (borcu) hope this helps a little

I wonder if anyone can enlighten us further. Our communal electric bills have three readings for the morning, late afternoon and evening usage and these appear in the middle section of the bill. Our apartment electricity bill however only has one reading which is in the top section on the left (Aktif). Does this mean we pay the same rate for all the apartment electricity and if so will this be the dearest rate? If so why is it different to the communal bill.

Yes it''s a bit like England it depends on which type of meter you have fitted,most of us use daytime electric   the communal will have a different meter as you will have night lights in communal areas and the pool may run 24 hours depending on usage.

Sorry jumping a bit - we had a huge fine for ''illegal'' use of electricity in our villa.  We haven''t been able to sort it out  - we had to pay nearly £2000.00.   Did someone tap into our supply - maybe to build another villa?  Our own villa was still in the owners name at the time as the ban on TAPU was still in force.  Does anyone have any ideas??

Check the name on the bill (abone) if it is not you then you should have a case if it is you then you have a problem.

The answer is the same as that for water meters, you cannot do your own reading.
