Hi,

Just to say there is no "them and us" on EnjoyKalkan and the topic headings are a guide to keep things semi-organised.

I do like Felicitys suggestion however and will add a new box in the forum profile for people to say if they are "residents" etc, not because it changes the weight of a comment but because I think it would show what an interesting mix of members we have  :D

We are owners but not permenant yet, five years and counting down. So we have been 10 days at Easter, 10 days late May, a week in July, 4 days this Friday yipee , and a week this new year. Would have done more but daughter just got married in New York, did suggest Kalkan as an alternative, but got short shrift.

I bought my apartment last year, and I could settle there tomorrow however I am not wishing my retirement forward quite yet, so will enjoy as many breaks as possible, fortunately I can work with just my laptop and wifi.
So far this year a week in Feb, week in April, 3 weeks in May, 10 days in July, last week of September and hoping for New Year too! and I am sure I will try and squeeze one in between.
Bev that is a sneaky trip 4 days this weekend!! lucky things... Obviously NYC wore you both out and you need a rest! Hope you had fun  :)

having gone off on a tangent all of you .......back to the original question.

1 week Jan/Feb
2-3 weeks May
Long weekend July/Aug
2 Weeks October.

(& I agree being a resident or a visitor will reflect differently on your views).

English Breakfast Tea Bags
Tampax
Bacon/Cheddar
Mustard
Marmite
Cadburys Choc/Galaxy Choc
Variety of essential clothing items from M&S
blah blah blah blah

& they don''t miss the dreadful English Summers  8)
