Is it always as windy in Kalamar bay ?
« on: July 16, 2008, 04:00:35 PM »
Hi, We have recently brought a villa in Kalamar Bay, we are 1 of 4 new villas high up and at the end, there are no villas be hide us...YET ! ! !  The smoke from the fire was off to our right if you can picture it ?  I have been to the villa quite a lot in the last 3 months and have noticed it can (does) get really very windy in the (most) evenings and also some ( not so many ) mornings.......can anyone tell me if this is normal ? I hope its not, because it could prove to be quite a problem, sometimes if its not nailed down, you lose it !

Hello Kalamar Dream
I would have assumed that you would check this sort of thing before you purchased however, you ain''t seen nothing yet - as yes, it does get very windy without warning - usually you can hear it coming round the bay like a train  :D and in the winter it can get really really bad
So don''t leave anything out that is not secured as you may end up chasing it through the streets

Hi
It is windy in Kalkan bay too. It whistles all around the houses and the wind is so gusty sometimes you think your windows will be blown in!
I can also confirm it is very loud when your roof blows off and the tiles shatter all around your pool area!

Kalamar Dream
I do apologise if you bought your villa whilst I was out in Kalkan. It has been incredibly windy when I''ve been out there. That''s what Sarah tells me. Haven''t noticed myself.
Nothing is really work unless you would rather be doing something else.

I wouldn''t worry too much about the hurricane force winds that blow around Kalamar, all the villas are built to withstand hurricanes and other strong winds

Hi
If all the homes are built to withstand hurricanes and other string winds, then why did my roof blow off? Is it just Kalamar homes that are built this way? ;D
