Turkey v Croatia
« on: June 20, 2008, 10:49:45 PM »
Hi folks,

Once again I am totally gobsmacked with this Turkish team.
They were 66:1 outsiders at the start of the tournament - and now they are through to the semi-finals!
They were 30 secs away from defeat tonight, in extra time, but did not give up and scored the equaliser to make it 1 all.
They then scored all their penalties to go through to the semis!!

Fantastic achievement and I think they are now the team that neutral fans will back, hopefully, all the way to the final!!!!!!

Well done the Turks    ;D ;D ;D ;D

Dave

John

Thanks for posting the pics - we are so envious of you lot in Kalkan, we really enjoyed being there for the match last weekend.  We were all glued to the TV at home and couldn''t believe it when they equalised.

Come on Turkey!

Best wishes
M
