Pasha appartments
« on: April 25, 2008, 08:33:26 PM »
Hi,Phill & Shirley will be staying in Kalkan for the first time at the Pasha Apartments and wonder how far it is from the sea front.
Cant wait to see if Kalkan is as special as you all say,
  Phill.

Hi Phil - welcome to the Forum - the Pasha aparts are along the Kalamar road - further along than the Asfiya - a nice downhill trot - which I guess will take you 20 minutes to get to the seafront and 20 minutes back if you can stick the pace uphill - first part uphill out of Kalkan itself - relatively flat along the first part of the Kalamar road and then uphill (quite gently) for the last bit to the Pasha aparts!!

Enjoy your time!

yes mr fed, you are quite right. pasha apts are in fact right opposite the asfiya hotel on the flat part of the kalamar rd, there is a rise after passing them. to walk from there to the top end of town is not much more than 5 mins, then depends what you stop to look at for the rest of the journey.

OK - so I''m a slow walker... ;D  LOL!! Phil wanted to go to the seafront - which I still reckon from the Asfiya - (sorry I meant to say Pasha is just past the Asfiya) - from the roundabout to seafront is 5-10 mins and from Asfiya to roundabout is 5-10 mins - so anywhere from 10-20mins and more like 20 mins on the way back - I reckon....especially after a heavy meal and a few efes... ;D

But yes - it is a great location and one of the less hilly places to stay in Kalkan!!

Cheers!  ;)

hiya phillip, as everyone says pasha is about 10 mins walk from the centre, stayed at pasha three times last year. just past pasha the hill is very steep, but only short up to kalamar,my wife isnt one for walking too far when on holiday and she didnt mind the walk into the centre but we did get a taxi back to pasha a few times, just to save on efes time !!!! ::) I am sure you will love pasha as we do and  you will love adele ,she is a gem.:Heres a good tip, take adele some bags of midget gems and sports mixtures, you might get a lift into town, she loves them .Neil.  ;D  p.s when are you at pasha ? I will be in kalkan 19 may and I wiil be propping up the bar at pasha most days/nights !!!!

Hi,we are in Kalkan for 2 weeks from the 7th of July and cant wait !!!   We booked the holiday on the strength of comments about the Pasha in `Trip Advisor`,listening to everyone here and reading all of the items on this site we are sure it was the right choice.
By the sound of things the worst part will definately be when we leave.

It is, it is, I am pretty stoic about life but I have tears in my eyes every time I leave Kalkan. It''s dreamtime when you are there.

Hi Phillip!

From google - "Stoic"

"One who is seemingly indifferent to or unaffected by joy, grief, pleasure, or pain."
S
toic A member of an originally Greek school of philosophy, founded by Zeno about 308 B.C., believing that God determined everything for the best and that virtue is sufficient for happiness. Its later Roman form advocated the calm acceptance of all occurrences as the unavoidable result of divine will or of the natural order.

Actually - I am pretty stoic too - except when I leave Kalkan... :(

No - Angora red is fine....and readily available and after the first glass or bottle - you''ll wonder what all the fuss is about as it becomes quite drinkable...expect to pay 10ytl in the supermarket (unless you can find it on special offer) and about 20-25ytl in the restaurants..!

It really is OK..just not your top notch Sommeliers''s nose...!!!!

Serefe!
