UK Thermostatic shower bar, & Turkish pipe fittings! Will it connect?

I am thinking of bringing out 2 thermostatic shower bar valves to kalkan in May. These would be to replace the older type manual shower mixers with integrated tap that we have in our villa.  I have tried on a number of occasions   to get some in the local plumbers merchants  in Kalkan  but every time I explain what I want I am offered manual mixer types (my language problem not theirs  of course ) .  Does anyone know if UK shower type fixings such as a shower bar  would be able to attach to Turkish pipe  sizes in terms of pipe threads sizes?    I did read an article a while back on the web that they can but must admit not sure at all.  65 days to go and counting down every day shower or no shower!

Hi Brian.
I brought one out last year for same reason. It was a Swirl bar one bought from Screwfix.
It fit perfectly with same centres and thread.
What a difference instead of having to keep adjusting tap.

Cheers   " Now retired"    I have just placed an order for the parts , you are so right  ,   a pain altering the mixers all the time   and especially  not least  when the pump kicks in and out which it does all the time up in kiziltas  , goes from   warm to scalding in the blink of an eye and back .  I   look forward to a bit of plumbing while I am out in May, -- thanks again
