WATER BILLS - KAS BELEDIYE

We have a property in Kalkan with a sizeable garden and large pool so use more water than the average Villa.  As we know during the transition of water billing from Kalkan to Kas we were all billed fixed amounts for some time that do not necessarily equate to the water we were using.

In April and May 2016 we received large bills from Kas Belediye that referred back to 2014/2015.  However these bills do not appear to take into account what we had paid over on account during 2014/2015 - in our case just over TL4,500 in 2014 and just a little over TL3,000 in 2015.

The Kas Belediye will not have a sensible conversation with my Agent who looks after the property simply advising him to use a Solicitor if he wants to argue further.

Has anyone suffered the same response from Kas if so is there any action we can take together as a body rather than singularly?

Hi Clem & Simon,

Water is not Belediye anymore,  You need go to ASAT office in Kaş,  And explain yor problem , Best to do ask ASAT change your meter and they will check if anything wrong on  old Meter,  If meter wrong They pay back your amount,
