Taxi to Patara/Saklikent
« on: July 19, 2015, 05:30:26 PM »
Hello, does anyone know the taxi prices for 5 people return to Patara beach and also Saklikent?

Or alternatively can anyone recommend a travel company for these trips? :)

Hi SarahS,

Welcome to the forum.I don't know the taxi costs but there are a few tour companies you could try.......................Enes tours,Brave tours,Adda tours are all local companies which will offer these trips and they are all local to Kalkan

Thanks Mayday, I've had a look but they all do trips including other places whereas we just wanted to have a day at Patara then a day at Saklikent so a taxi might be the answer...

The dolmus goes to Patara.  The cost is around 8 lira per person for the return trip.  I think a taxi charges about 50/60 lira for the return journey, so if there are 5 or 6 of you this is probably the best option.  Sorry can't help with Saklikent but just ask at the taxi rank and they will give you a price.  Alternatively you could hire a car for the day. Enjoy!

The taxi rank has prices on a board to various places..you might find 5+driver a no go...(although it's Turkey and most things are possible)dolmuses go regular from Kalkan to Patara  and you can get to saklikent too.i would dolmus to Patara and book a trip to saklikent from the village...you might find minibus hire if you are lucky ;)

Some off the taxis are 7 seaters. 2 seats very back, 3 in the back and one beside the driver

Try contacting Oz at www.definetours.com they sometimes do customised tours (depends on dates and how busy they are) they are very customer focussed .

We did the trip with the guys based at the bus station.  We didnt want to go to the trout farm or a carpet shop so it was perfect.. No aircon on dolmus though! Take water x

The Kalkan taxis this year are 120tl return for Patara (70tl one way) and Saklikent is 170tl return (130tl one way).
These prices are non-negotiable but as Charlie says they do have some  7 seaters so make sure if you are booking a taxi, you make it clear you need a larger one.
Have a great time

Thanks everyone and thanks kalkan4eva for the taxi prices. A travel company have quoted me 250 lira for Saklikent and 150 lira for  Patara for the 5 of us which sounds about right

Thanks for all your help :)

Flip they've gone up since I last used one to Patara!  That said I suppose £30 for 5/6 people is still good value :)

When you book a return trip to Patara do they come more or less when you ring to say you are ready to leave or do you have to specify a time?

Ha ha Charlie...think those prices are from the 1990's ;D ;D
Its best to give the driver a time and location for your return trip when you are dropped off...but then phone as you're packing up just to be sure. The driver will give you his card and you can pay when you're collected....at least that's how we've done it..!
