Furniture shopping

Well we have only been owners in Kalkan since 2011 but always thought there was a lack of choice regarding furniture shops, however today I find out that the Arcelik shop (opposite the petrol station) has 2 floors of furniture above the main showroom, Sofas, Tables, Chairs, Patio Furniture, Beds, Mattresses even travel cots, high chairs and folding 'spare' beds (choice of 4 varying in price from 120tl - 475tl...) tons of stock.. Perhaps it's just me that didn't know about the hidden stairs on the right hand side but it's a great find.

We have bought lots of furniture and electrical goods from Arcelic over the years. Service including delivery and setup has always been excelent.

If you are up for a haggle you can usually get a worthwhile discount, we got around 12% off on a flat screen TV, 15% on a a TV/media units and 10% on a water cooler.

alantj   totally agree their customer service is great and have bought lots of electrical goods from them in the past but didn't know of the 2 floors of furniture above the main show room..

Another place of interest for furniture, white goods etc is SANCLAR, although it is nearly into Fethiye.  They have a large showroom, we have had excellent service from them, no problem looking around & they deliver to Kalkan no extra costs.

They also have a website, delivery was on time & they kept us updated re our order.  Well worth checking out.

Over last 3  years  we purchased many items  from Arcelic  [on the roundabout] ,  excellent service  and always delivered within  a few hours  of purchase  . Furniture section on the upper floor is very good , we have purchased beds & mattresses   and will be going back this  year for some additional furniture  , prices  are  good too

The one company I would suggest everyone stears clear of is Bravocassa on the D400,on the way to kas,just out of Kalkan.

I have had awful service with delivery times and I know several others have...........they are well known for this.Never again !!

There is a shop in front of Arcelic,that provides gas bottles/kitchen goods etc to the ground floor and they have beds etc upstairs,who I believed only sell electrical stuff ?

Mayday1  the gas shop is separate, the Arcelik shop sells electrical goods on the ground floor (plus a few non electrical) but also has an upstairs, 2 floors of furniture..

I appreciate that the gas shop is separate from Arcelic............I wondered if the gas shop was also run by the Arcelic group,but I guess it is a totally different business owner.
It is news to me that Arcelic sell furniture upstairs......must check that one out !

Utku,the shop a little further up behind Arcelic,in Akbel is going to be selling furniture from this year.They currently sell curtains,blinds,pillows,sun bed cushions etc and we have bought lots from them.

We bought bed bases and mattress's from Fethiye, more shops there,so more choice.One word of caution of getting stuff from Fethiye,is that if there are problems/damage etc on delivery....Fethiye is a long distance from Kalkan to resolve issues.You wont find out how good the company's customer service is until something goes wrong and you require the situation to be sorted to your satisfaction.
