Pink Beach Club Patara
« on: June 17, 2014, 08:20:47 PM »
When we were in Kalkan at Easter, they were advertising the new Pink Beach Club at Patara Beach, we weren't quite sure what the exact location was, and still to be honest are not sure.  We have been reading fantastic reviews tonight on their Facebook,  Trip Advisor and also their own website, has anyone been yet, because it really does look like a fab day out. Wondering whether they do transfers from Kalkan too.

We have just contacted them via Facebook messaging, and they do free return pick ups from Kalkan, no entrance fee or charges for sunbeds, you just have to buy food and drink, but not sure how much you have to spend.  Worth checking before booking though in case that's not right, but sounds ideallic.

We heard that:

a)  the place is huge and totally empty (it's at the far end of Patara beach near the river, not the end near the town)

b)  you have to buy tokens and spend these.  It you have credit left over, you cannot get a refund, you have to use it next time you go.

This information is 2nd hand and things may have changed since the scouts went there.  So if you go, do report back please.

To get there, proceed as if you were going to the usual Patara beach.  When the lovely, smooth new road ends and you must go left or right, take the right track and continue for a few kilometers.  You will eventually see a sign and you'll then go left to the beach.

We stumbled across this place in April on a day out in the car. In my opinion it's a monstrous pink blob on a beautiful part of Patara beach where the Essen river meets the sea.
We asked what the charges were and were told they started at 25 lira rising to 100 lira depending on where you sat and what facilities you used. We were told no cash is used - you have to put a credit card behind the bar.
The elevated swimming pool is quite spectacular though.

Maybe someone who has been can bring us up to date. When we left 2 weeks ago I saw no evidence of shuttle buses etc being advertised in the town, but maybe now they have organised something.

Have seen people carriers with their logo on the side being driven around the town but not too many, perhaps they are the shuttle.

Been there many times. one of my favorite beach clubs.

PRO:

Clean. Beach, sand, toilets, umbrellas, sunbeds and beach pillows - everything is new and clean.

Empty. Nobody around exept friendly staff

Tasty. Owners and cheff are the same that in Bella Donna/Locanda (from my experience, the best restorant in 100miles around)

Cons:
Cards/Balance and whole system is too complicated
_very_ expensive. Fruit plate for 24TL, Sandwich (but amazing one) - 24, Glass of fresh lemonade - 12TL
Too much staff, and they are boring without customers. You sit alone in restorant for 50guests and 10 waiters stand around you.
Music is toooooo loud, but they will turn it off if you ask.
