Driving visit to Cappodocia

Just considering an excursion to Cappodocia in May. Can anyone recommend a place to stay overnight en-route and a town/Hotel in the Cappodocia region for a 2/3 day stay?

We went to Cappadocia some years ago and stayed in URGUP in an hotel named Esbelli Evi. I think you can still find it on the internet - for details. ~We had a beautiful room in a cave and the breakfasts were wonderful. Also you had access to the kitchen, the fridge was loaded with beer etc for use by guests. We did not use so don't know if and how you paid for this. It was a lovely stay and we will be going back next year. We travelled from Kalkan and stayed in Konya overnight - plenty of hotels. Worth getting to Konya early in the afternoon as plenty to see before you settle into your hotel. When we went there was no alcohol sold in Konya - not anywhere.  Hope this is helpful to you.
