Lal rose in UK!

I know that one of the more popular wines that gets a fair bit of publicity on here (and rightly so in my book) is LAL rose. Having shared a bottle every lunch for 2 weeks I started suffering withdrawal symptoms when I got back.

Good news was I managed to source some from the online Turkish Supermarket at £6.99 per bottle. Then when I tried to order some more today my hopes were dashed as it was no longer listed. Ahhhhhhh!!!

Not to be outdone I continued my search online and have managed to find some at JJ Food Services (they serve both the public and trade) at a very reasonable £54.99 + VAT for 12 bottles (which works out inc. VAT to £5.49 per bottle). They have a few branches across the UK - our nearest is just down the road in Birmingham so next time I'm there I'll pick up a case.

No excuse for withdrawal symptoms now.........

I saw Angora red in Tesco's yesterday. £7.50 a bottle.

I forgot to mention that they also sell Angora (both red & white) at £26.99 + VAT for 6 bottles which again works out to just over £5 per bottle. Likewise Cankaya white & Villa Doluca Legend white. Spoilt for choice now

I'm one of those weird people who would only drink Lal, Angora etc in Turkey. BH can only drink Efes in Turkey - although it didn't get thrown out when we bought some from Morrisons.....or when we got some in Tesco for a second go

Have had Angora red and white (not in the same glass!  ) in a lovely Turkish restaurant in London and it went down well......was probably the ambience, don't think I would drink it at home though! something's are best saved for sunshine and stunning views.........sigh!
