boat trip for the end of October ?

Hi every one, we will be staying in kalkan at the last week of October, i was wondering if the boat trips still  operating on daily basic from kakan and kas ? one more thing is sea water still warm at that time of year ?

Can't see why they would stop boat trips whilst there is a demand?? many people grab some sun in October, Kalkan boats were running until early Nov last year.

 Making up a group to hire a gulet is easy just ask for people to message you if they would like to go you will soon have 6-8 people to join you, some of whom  I know from experience will become firm friends.

October through to december are some of my favourite months, Kalkan is so quiet and sea swimming on calm days is a delight, the temp in the sea only ever moves a few degrees anyway so its' only the air temp when you get out that makes it seem chilly. If you use the weather site "windfinder" you should be able to sort out a calm day to organise your boat trip.

Buster, have to agree, Oct-end of Dec can be fabulous Kalkan very different more relaxed & enjoyable my favourite time of year.  Boat trips as already mentioned still going at the end of October

hi again and thanks for your replies, what is the going rate for one person to go in boat trip.?

Volume travel charge about 50 TL to take you to Kekova via Üçağız with a BBQ thrown in.
You also get a bit of a tour thrown in as they take you by coach along the Kas road to Üçağız which is about an hours drive by coach.

You will find volume travel in the main street going down to the harbour.

PS I have no commercial connection with Volume travel other than being a satisfied customer.

Hi Everyone ( especially Lizilu),

Boat trips will be still running until the end of October in Kaş.

Sea temperature is around 19-20 Celsius degrees which means you can swim 20 minutes without feeling cold.

Some days sea could be a bit choppy some days but if you check out weather forecast you could catch really good days With full of sun and without wind at all.

Kas would be a better option if the wind blows from west because its more protected to west winds.

thank you captain , i was wondering if it is possible to hire very small boat  the one you do not need any licence for 3 or 4 people?

Hi,
If you can find some one who rent their boat which has 9.9 hp then you can use it without licence. But that would be a quite small boat for you.

As i tols you Before it depends size of the boat. If its more than 4 mt that would be fine.

But you can hire a smaller proper boat with crew which would be more comfortable for your family. You can just walk around the harbour and find
The right boat. I haven't heart anyone renting smaller boat.
