This time tomorrow !

We will have landed at Dalaman airport and ready to start our holiday ! (not sure of the exact timings but we take off from Bham Thursday 11th at 2.15pm !)  Really looking forward to it - only stress points are a: terrified of flying  and b: driving from Dalaman to Kalkan - but I'm sure we'll be fine ..... On a positive note - looking forward to sun, restaurants and cocktails  Now, where did I put that diazepam .......?

Have an excellent holiday!  I'm very jealous now we're back and we have to wait almost a year for our next visit to Kalkan.  The road from Dalaman to Kalkan was very quiet when we went, so if you're not queuing too long for a visa and you're not waiting too long for your luggage, you should expect to be in Kalkan by around 10.30pm Turkish time.

Have a marvellous time, if you're anything like us you'll be too hyped up and excited to worry about the journey. The journey we worry about most is our departure because we dread saying goobye and  "DON'T WANT TO GO HOME"

Lurcherlou, if you are feeling a bit nervous, just try and think about your holiday once you get there, because it will be so worth it. I am a nervous flyer, but after a glass of wine, I then start to relax. I have a new kindle this year, so am planning on reading when I get on the plane to pass away the time. With regard to the drive, you will be there in about one and a half hours, and the road is fine and plenty of things to look at on the journey. Have a fantastic holiday, and look forward to reading your holiday posts.

Looking forward to hearing all about your holiday lurcherlou. I'm not a good flyer but have a couple of " Nerve" Cliquots in the airport to take the edge off my panic.

You will be fine, so much to look forward to,  and the drive from Dalaman is not that bad, fascinating to see the variations in the local scenery.   The very worst thing you can look forward to is leaving Kalkan and that last look back on the bay as you go up the D400, am always crying and planning the next visit
