I understood Odak had closed too...are you sure you're not getting mixed up with Ozalp, onelove?
KC - have Ali Baba's got a new menu for upstairs or is it an extension of their downstairs cafe?
Better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt :)

Hi K4E,

Odak is very much in business. It is still in the same place, but they have had a smart makeover. The same chap as last season is there as the front man but there is also a second " front man" as well,so a little confusing. The pair of them walk around the restaurant checking if all is ok...........one front man is enough.

There does appear to be a new menu as the choice was different to last season. They have tried to improve the quality and choice. They have suceeded in this as the food we had was really good.

The man who stands by the menu board trying to pull in custom is the older chap from Ali Baba's,who we recognise from last year.

Thanks Mayday :) it was reported on KTLN that Odak had closed.....so pleased to hear it's still alive and well as its one of those places we always make time for. Is it still called Odak? Seems strange that KTLN listed it as closed :( - I posted on here how sorry I was to see this old establishment was no longer with us.
onelove, apologies for assuming dementia had set in... :-* :-*

Hi K4E,

Yes its still called Odak, still upstairs, still has cats that patrol up and down ( looking for juicy succulent pieces of chicken breast, that are marinated in a lovely apricot sauce ).......sorry drifted back to early May for a while  !!

They were a little late opening in the season, about 3rd or 4th May so maybe this explains why a few folk believed it was not going to re open.
