You know when something is the epitome of cool...it's featured in Grazia magazine!
This week's issue looks at Turkey being a hip and trendy holiday destination and features Kalkan and Kas. It gets the Peninsula and Likya Gardens mixed up in the copy but the picture of Likya Gardens looks fab
The first person to spot Kate Moss in Kalkan wins an efes....

Great, now we'll have the hoi polloi knowing about Kalkan. It'll need more than one curry house and a live music bar to cater for their ABC readership!

If it was featured in The Sun it would really fuel your "kiss-me-quick" worries, but it wasn't...it was in a magazine read by the UK's style-conscious. discerning women (even if I do say so myself ) I would imagine they would want Kalkan to remain just as it is, with perhaps a few more discreet boutique/luxury hotels and a better supply of decent fizz....and I'm all for that
As Babs says...Kalkan isn't a secret anymore but at least it is being touted in a more upmarket publication

Would still like to know what ABC readership means though.
I'm definitely with you on the decent fizz front although they do rather good champagne cocktails at Trio!

Just seen that article myself. I think it sells Kalkan as more upmarket than it actually is, to be honest. I certainly couldn't afford to holiday there at the prices they quote anyway!

Babs, ABC is a marketing/advertising term - it stands for Audit Bureau of Circulation and its an independendent organisation that verifies readership figures.
JenJen, you're right...it does, but the prices at Likya Gardens aren't cheap - but it looks lovely. It might even give Mahal a run for its money because it is situated that much closer to town.

Well bazza1970 I stand corrected.....but beg to differ in that as far as woman's weeklies go Grazia is pretty much the best informed in terms of current events, news and dare I mention something so frivolous as fashion?! If I'm missing something I'm sure you'll let me know!!

Grazia is the best of the weeklies by a mile. Only when Kalkan is featured in the weekly magazines Bazza writes for will we know things are really on the slide.

MartynE - my post was certainly not directed at you, am sorry if you misread it, as it followed your post.  As I said, we will definitely be supporting your venture in the summer, but I am just so fed up with all the negative comments from Bazza on here, it upsets me when this Forum is such a brilliant thing, and there is just no need for it.  Again, apologies that you took it the wrong way.
