Diet Tonic
« on: April 25, 2013, 07:29:56 PM »
Hi

Can anyone tell me how to order and buy Slimline Tonic for my Gin. All the bars and restaurants only seem to serve full fat Tonic. Thanks ;)

Hi, I've never seen slimline tonic in Kalkan either and I have looked in every supermarket we've been in :-(. I would love to find somewhere that sold it too.

Does anyone know why?
Lynne T, I have my gin with soda and a splash of lime which doesn't taste as sweet as the full fat tonic. I'm not bothered about the calories....I'm on holiday after all....just the sweet taste of full hit tonic. You can buy lime cordial in the supermarket and I take it out with me in a small bottle as asking for a splash of lime is challenging anywhere other than Moonlight....where sadly they know my drink ::) ::)
Better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt :)

It is probably because the Turks love anything with sugar - the more the better so sugar free drinks are a NO NO

just resolved the issue of slimline tonic not being available in Kalkan...

use only half the amount of full fat tonic and fill the glass up with gin.....  ;D ;D 8)
