Samira hotels confusion
« on: April 25, 2013, 11:21:59 AM »
Hi

Am new to this forum and to the Kalkan region

Was looking at various hotels/apartments in Kalkan and am confused about the various Samira properties

I can see there is one called the Samira Deluxe for which the web site is (I think) www.samiraresort.com

I have then seen mentioned a property called the Samira Gardens Hotel. Now I think the web site for this is: http://www.kalkansamiragarden.com/    However the web site says that the rooms are all 1 bedroom apartment suites. Is this correct as the property doesn't sound much like a hotel to me but is instead a property containing apartments?

Thirdly I have seen and read about a resort called Samira hotel and apartments. However I can't seem to find a web site for this property and was wondering if I was confusing it with the Samira deluxe property? But then I read on the forum that this property is quite near the centre of Kalkan wheres the Samira deluxe is not?

Thanks

I don't blame you for feeling confused!  ??? ??? ??? The Samira Deluxe is up the hill above Kalkan. The Samira Gardens has been converted into apartments from a hotel and is situated near the car park at the main roundabout (I think I have it the right way round). The other Samira hotel is quite near there, on the opposite side of the road, and is the original one. It is quite large and is the one people have been talking about with the activities concier :oge issue.  I just hope I've got it the right way round.  ::) ::) ??? :o

Yes Skunk you have.
I hadn't realised the whole of Samira Gardens was now self catering apartments, thought only a proportion of their rooms had gone this way....I hope it works out for them :)

The huge Samira changes at all three complexes are clearly a case of fixing something that wasn't broken. Time will out as they say. Let the people decide.

We are looking forward to seeing the Samira Suites this year, as we stayed there last year when it was a hotel.
