Internet Speed

I would be interested in what people are seeing regarding Internet Speed (particularly if you live in Kalamar Bay like myself).  I have used www.speedtest.net and the best I have seen is:

PING: 19 ms
DOWNLOAD: 3.39 Mbps
UPLOAD: 0.73 Mbps

Understanding the numbers is not so important, it is the comparison between sites.

I have been looking at this as recently, after an outage, the Internet has been very slow.

A year ago I had this problem and called Turk Telekom.  They increased the speed while I was still on the phone with them.  Also, you should check which contract you have.  You might still have the old ones which were at a lower speed.  If so, go to the local office above the post office and subscribe to the 8MB contract.

I spoke too soon.  Since about 1 week I am getting only 3.4Mbps download speed even though I have an Ultranet ADSL contract for up to 16 Mbps.  I see on my router page that the signal set by Ttnet is only 8119 which means that would be the top (and unattainable speed).  I used to get at least 6Mbps, not only is my connection now slow, worse, the wireless signal keeps dropping out.  I've been on the phone with ttnet at least 8 times and they always tell me there's nothing wrong when obviously there is.

Thinking of switching to another provider.  I see Vodaphone also offers internet service for about the same price.  Does anyone have any experience with any other adsl provider servicing Kalkan ?
