We've only booked one way tickets....and frankly I want to be in a position someday to not be waiting for easyJet return flights to be released because we only want a one way ticket
It's exactly 9 months today that we will be there....and even though we have a celebration holiday somewhere else before then, all I can think about is going back to Kalkan. Antler's video blogs have made me homesick

It's now less than four weeks till we are supposed to be in Kalkan.......but this week I'm not so optimistic that we'll make it! Our dog is still recovering but there is a question mark over if the people who are booked will be able to have him. They are concerned about his well being with teir other dogs potentially bothering him nod him being being able to stand up for himself.....literally! We have to put him first.......but it's not ding much for my well being.

Well the positive side of all of this is that he is not suffering......although he is decidedly wobbly on his back legs he is as happy as Larry (whoever Larry is!) he is being spoilt rotten, gets lots of love and attention, has a nice shiny set of wheels and has hydrotherapy in a lovely warm pool twice a week!

Aww, Babs how sweet! Looks like he's thoroughly enjoying his hydrotherapy. We had a springer spaniel that was bought for me for my 5th birthday and lived until after my 17th birthday. His expression reminds me so much of my old dog.
I really hope you make it to Kalkan, but like K4E, I can thoroughly understand and empathise if you don't.

Oh Babs he looks adorable. Good that he's not in pain hopefully it will all work out for you. Bloomin animals don't they just control our lives but wouldn't be without them 
Off back to Kalkan on Friday and already worked myself into another frenzy about leaving my 3 behind

Babs, he looks so adorable and I can understand how difficult it must be to get him looked after given his special needs. There's got to be a market for pet respite care.....? Special kennels/catterys for those pets who need a lot more looking after.
I feel a Dragons Den moment coming on.....
Seriously though, I would be devasted in your position. I'm crossing everything that it works out for you this year

Hey!!! 9 months today!!....till next visit .....Orange Judith was in Kalkan some years ago,she bought a sweatshirt from "I want your money..i need a Ferrari in the market".. I remember seeing the programme  and said market man used to have a photo hanging up on his stall with  "Judith chalmers shops here" sign attached and told me when I asked "she bloody tight lady I have to earn a living!!"

My white Scottish skin does eventually tan (though hopefully not orange) but my wee Scottish legs always stay white tinged with that blue, just out the packet, look
Bag just about packed but got 3 animals following my every move as they know what's about to happen

So we're a day or two ahead of you....checking out the best places to watch the World Cup
If Turkey qualify, it will be extra special in June next year - they do love their football. So for those of you that hate football, perhaps June will not be the best time to visit...?
