I have a ready solution.  If you all pay my airfare I will go and sing contiunually, I reckon it will be shut down by the end of the first night due to lack of customers and staff in pain!

Please a big NO, there are plenty of other places that offer karaoke. We to have been disturbed by the constant loud music from Chocolate and cannot understand why nothing has been done to curb this. This summer it was banging loud music out until 4 every morning. What happened to music being turned off at midnight.
It will be a real shame if Kalkan looses its ethos and charm and becomes another Hisaronu. I have no problem with people having a good time but not to the detriment of others.
Kalkan needs to be kept special, it will attract far more people with its quirkiness and charm than with karaoke and loud music!

Hehe Chrissy, well spotted. It's amazing what fun you can have with a hairbrush a song sheet and a couple, or so bottles of Lal!
Here's  a thought, hairbrush karaoke, it would be less noisy? ;D L

You wouldn't be saying that if you'd heard my daughter singing into her hairbrush in front of the mirror....

Great night had by over thirty people (Turkish and British).
It was no louder than any bar in Kalkan during the summer.
Well done Cenk. We appreciate the work you did to get it off the ground.
It gives people who enjoy singing a chance to do so.
Roll on two weeks time.

I hear that everyone who attended last night had a great evening and lots of fun and it wasn't taken at all seriously.  Well done to Cenk for providing alternative evening entertainment in the winter months in an otherwise barren environment.
I personally am not a fan of Karaoke, but given the choice between sitting at home chatting on an internet forum or going out and having a laugh, I know what would be my preference!
Live and let live.

Glad it went well. They say no publicity is bad publicity, perhaps the discussion on here has helped to promote the event  :)
