I think that what you really mean is will they still be biting? As ever, it depends upon the weather as to how active they are. Generally mid October means cooler temperatures and more wind, therefore, they are less active. Just take sensible precautions.
There - over there, there are.            To - Going to
Their - belongs to them.                     Too - In addition, Also
They're - Short for they are.

During the end of July/beginning of August when I was there they were actively spraying each night up near our apartment (Elvina); we were not bitten there but were bitten when dining down in the harbour - our own fault really as the can of mosquito repellent sat unused back in the apartment :-\, mind you once we'd got our brains into gear and started using it, it worked very well  :) :)!

Never mind mossies in Kalkan I've just been bitten by god knows what on the train coming back from a lovely morning in Liverpool's Albert Dock, having a lovely stroll, and, looking around the ships that have come in from the tall ships race from Dublin. Have got plenty of mossie spray for our hols in Kalkan a week on Monday (double yippee), but, didn't think would need to spray myself before I got onto the train home!!!!    :P

amberpop, the dreadful UK summer has apparently increased the population of mosquitos and biting flies here, so I'm not surprised you've been bitten. We live right next to a pond, so we're fair game and BH has just been diagnosed with cellulitis following a bite that's gone infected :P :P
I went to collect his prescription to be told that they were out of stock of the two different antibiotics needed to clear this up - because of the unprecedented amount of infected bites this year :o
I'd much rather be bitten in Kalkan :)
Better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt :)

I got bitten while sitting at my Desktop last night in sunny Christchurch. I didn't notice until this morning when Mrs BubblesG remarked on something stuck to the back of my leg. Turned out to be dried blood. When I looked under my desk while hoovering, I noticed these dark marks in the new carpet - more dried blood.
The culprit was, I believe, a tiny mosquito I found on the wall. It seemed quite unable to move as I sucked it up the Dyson. Must be a mix of the drugs I'm on and the alchohol from last night.
Revenge is sweet but, I'd rather not be bitten here or, in Kalkan.

Forget the flip flops, sprays, Dyson, plug in devices and et al!
Get a battery powered tennis racket shaped fly zapper from Poundland. I have used one at the Kalkan property for about four years, they really are the way to go. Old Betsy, has about fifty notches carved in the handle and I'm carrying out a spare in 8 days time, because it is so effective and I could not get by without one.
One press of the button is usually enough for a mosquito, two to four presses for a small sand or house fly. Hornets and wasps need far more though, about eight or ten presses.
My technique is to centre  the racquet over the victim, move in slowly until about 10cm away, press the button down and move in quickly keeping the racquet head flat. Because of the size of the racquet head, when the mossie decides to fly, it's already too late.

Although not dual purpose like the Flippen  Floppen which blends in as part of your attire(unless it's wimbledon fortnight)..i can see the merits of this tennis racket item..do they do large ones for tararantulas? perhaps even bigger ones for intruders?  the possibilities are endless :D

BL, having inadvertently touched one after pressing the button, I can testify that your idea of using it on intruders, may be quite a good idea. Hmmm, instead of 2 x AA batteries....
