Onur tickets
« on: April 16, 2009, 02:58:46 PM »
Has anyone travelled with Onur this year? Just wondered if you received tickets in the the post or e-tickets? Last year there was a problem around May and tickets were only e-mailed a day or so before to some people, but others received theirs in the post. Wondered how it''s been working this year, so far?
thanks

Got to agree with that, especially when the computer is playing up & you are unable to print e-tickets off

I contacted Aegean by e-mail this week and they have said they will be "generating" my tickets next week...I''m expecting e-tickets, but I too prefer the lovely thin cardboard ones through the post... :(

My family and I are flying with Onur tomorrow evening from Gatwick to Dalaman.  Does anyone know, as it''s a budget airline, is there seat allocation or is it free for all similar to easy jet.

I fly out on 8th june with onur air and have not recieved any tickets at all. Spoke to the agent today and they said it will be another week and it will be an e ticket. Also might sound a stupid question but i have been shopping for holiday insurance today and the post office told me i have to have worldwide but thomas cook says it is european which is half the price..Which insurance do i need.

Many thanks Dylan ???

I buy an annual European policy which specifically states that Turkey is included. Can''t remember without checking but think I got it last September for around £40 for 2 adults. Covered 3 trips already in Turkey and other European destinations and another coming up at the end of June.

I would be inclined to believe thomas cooks as opposed to the post office..the post office is fine for currency, but they don''t specialise in tourism like  thomas cooks who i would expect to have greater all round info..we have euro insurance and it also covers turkey  ;)

Turkey comes under the European insurance band, not world wide, you should get your insurance sorted out well before your departure date, should anything happen re your flight being cancelled you may find you are not covered, so unable to claim.

As for Onur & extra leg room, we have recently had two excellent flights, departure to Dalaman we were asked if we would like extra leg room and got it, no charge, the flight was on time, service very good, returning, they were charging £10 for extra leg room which is compared with other airlines is nothing, £35 on some, again we were on time infact landed in the UK just slightly earlier than time given.  Crew again very good.

They are also now doing 2 flights to Dalaman on Friday nights, there is a short time span between the 2,
so make sure you check in for the correct flight, the ques are rather long & it can be confusing, as there is also another flight to Marmaris I think.

Have a lovely time.
