Excess Baggage Onur Air
« on: June 15, 2008, 08:31:19 AM »
It''s our 1st time with Onur following the recommendations from so many in the forum. Has anyone experienced excess baggage charges? I will also need to try and get an extra piece of hand luggage on board?

Less than 3 weeks to go and withdrawal symptoms are getting worse, can''t wait to arrive and begin the Kalkan cure once again!

Not sure about Onur but we came back yesterday with Thomas Cook and people were paying £6 per kilo - if it''''s the same it makes it a lot for an extra bag.  Could you try and book extra luggage before you get to the airport?

Currently have a duplex apartment in Kiziltas which we visit as often as we can.

Will it fit in a golf bag? They use to be free on planes?

I was changed big time last time I took a golf bag on a plane....I think the days of freebies are over.

Shucks, there goes my plan. Has anyone taken items by "air-freight" on their flights, and if so, approximate costs?

Ken, where are you flying from and to? If you can be more specific you are more likely to get help.

It says on their website that DOMESTIC passengers get charged 3TL per Kg over the 15Kg allowance. No mention of flights to UK on the site, probably because they are only operating charter flights.

I see that Jewel in the Crown are using them from several UK airports, perhaps you could ring them or, whoever you booked with?
