Hi PW, yeah you need jeans and a jumper, maybe some need a jacket. But that said its not what we Brits would call cold. Locals are in coats, hats and gloves though

Slept with the bedroom patio door open last night

Bit hazy this morning with sun breaking through at times, but still warm, t- shirt and jeans for me

Parc for the football later

Amber, had a look at the new walk way yesterday, I agree would look better without all the kids and exercise stuff but IMHO not that bad

Still think its a good addition to Kalkan.

I've seen photos of the walkway on ktln but can't picture where it is.....which part of the old town does it run through....from where to where?

More or less from the White House - keep going straight on (don't turn right) and it's on the right. Goes straight down the hill to the beach. Look out for the river bed - it follows it down.

The sun burnt the haze off by 11:30 from then on sun all the way and hot. Lunch was had on the terrace, sun cream a must

Sure there will be some signposts up for the walkway soon.
They are too busy adding new "attractions" to it at the moment! Childrens play equipment and adult gym equipment popping up in every flowerbed almost!
Not sure it will turn out to be the pleasant peaceful walk we imagined.
Lots of empty beer bottles along there the other morning.Hope it doesnt also turn into another beer drinkers haven.
Lots of the local Turkish following the progress and making comments to the belidye!

Hi Amber, There did not seem to be that much stuff when I looked, maybe I need to look again, beer bottles etc does not sound good

Another lovely morning here in paridise, the sun was bouncing of our pool terrace at 07:10

Pah!! and double Pah!! count yourself lucky!! the snow is back here..we have a whole 1/2"..travel chaos has taken over !trains are delayed because it's sticky snow thats white and roads are grid locked and the supermarket has broken out the £5 snow shovels!!! .....your hardest choice is wether to wear your swim shorts or your all in one

Sounds like we won't be able to miss the new walkway and it will come in very handy for a few 'chin ups' on the way to the beach!

Its a tad windy here too onelove....think the words gale and force were used on the weather forecast!

To be honest the wind dropped and it turned out to be a Very warm and humid day, I even got a sweat on sweeping and moping the living room floor, and that was with the patio doors open

Beautiful sunny warm morning here in Kalamar Bay

Light breeze, but nothing to worry about

BBQ dinner at Doyum last night. Packed solid, not a spare seat, we were the only Brits, full of Turkish, always a good sign. Great food and great fun cooking your own food on the BBQ on your table

I once did that many years ago in Tunisia! We went to this lovely bar at the end if a pier and were made very welcome and offered free drinks by a German guy. Funny, everyone seemed to be German - turned out to be a German welcome party and we'd gate crashed!!! We managed to sneak away looking very sheepish!

The very best time we sort of gatecrashed on a party was on our honeymoon. We were staying at a hotel in Sidari (when it was 5 restaurants, one hotel and two shops, while the pont d'amour was still upright) and there was a wedding of a local couple. We had the most fabulous evening eating drinking and dancing at someone else's expense. Wonderful, I will never forget it.
