Teras restaurant is where Sofra used to be. The food is still very good ! But where is the lovely Mehmet ? He made the restaurant vibrant and fun ! The present waiters are rather serious and lacking in verve ! Mehmet made all customers feel special, where is he

Hello glyn,
You'll be glad to hear Mehmet is doing well and is really happy. He has a 9-5 job in Kaş and a new (Turkish) girlfriend . We saw him a week or so ago - he popped in to Moonlight one evening, he's walking better and has "perhaps one more" operation on his leg, he's not drinking - three times we offered to buy him a beer and he eventually said a bottle of soda. He looks just like the old Mehmet, but he's the new grown-up version of himself. I couldn't have been happier to see him this way after the traumas of the last few years.

Update on Mehmet...we saw him again a few nights ago and he said he might have a job at the beach cafe when it opens...can't keep up!
