Bars
« on: August 07, 2012, 09:53:33 PM »
Hi, very glad to be in Kalkan for the second year running. Last year myself, wife and more importantly the kids enjoyed a couple of evenings in Cinbar - playing pool and having a beer before going on to dinner etc. It appears to have closed now - does anyone know of any other bars where we could do the same thing? Also, any one have good suggestions for after dinner bars where the kids can have a bit of a boogie and laugh at their dad being miserable for not dancing ? As ever, very grateful for this forum - a fantastic resource ! Best wishes all, trolleyhead.

Hi trolleyhead and welcome :)
There is a bar where Cinbar used to be - its called Yali Lounge. Might be worth a  visit to see if it still offers the same things.
You don't say how old your children are..but teenagers and slightly older will probably like Mojito or Chocolate. Ours tend to stick with us in Moonlight - even though they are early 20's now ::) There's dancing inside, Arif spins the tunes and you can throw some shapes to embarrass the life out of your offspring when you're ready. A few cocktails is usually my currency for this kind of behaviour
Enjoy!
Better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt :)

Thanks Kalkan4eva, we tried moonlight bar and had a great time! Many thanks for taking the time to reply. Kids are a bit younger than yours and both girls -  one 12 and one 7 and a half. The guys in the bar made us all feel very welcome - shall definitely return for a few more beers. Cheers!
