Title: lira, pounds or use ATMs

Going to Kalkan for 1st time in 13 days and never been to Turkey before.
Is it best to take lira, change uk money over there or use the ATMs.

Firstly welcome to the forum and also to kalkan u will not be disappointed for yr 1st time in Turkey u have chosen the best place to visit, personally I would take GBP and change there as u seem to get the best rate if u use the ATMs u will get charged more by yr bank altho it is not much depends how many times u use them and depending on how much yr bank charges - have a great holiday and be prepared to catch the kalkan bug.

I use a bank debit card with no charges (there are still some around) at ATM and also receive a business exchange rate.
