Title: Cafe Vita
Post by: clara 50 on May 31, 2012, 09:12:01 AM
Hi everyone!! We're in Kalkan in a months time and can't wait, mentally packing my case already during the small wee hours when sleep evades me. Just curious whether Cafe Vita has opened and are they still doing their live music night with the enormous buffet/bbq? We had a great night there last year and it was well worth the money, met some lovely people and had a good laugh and more than enough to eat. Of course we also love the famous home made chips, just what the doctor ordered when you just want a quick snack at lunchtime as you want to leave plenty of tummy room for a delicious Turkish meal somewhere in the evening and of course a couple of cold glasses of wine or in hubbies case the obligatory ice cold Efes

Hi Clara 50,

It was open when we were there at Easter and they were just building a lovely pergola at the end where the BBQ seating is. The price of the BBQ has increased slightly in TL but with the good exchange rate it still costs the same as last year if you get my meaning!

Have a great holiday.  ;D

Yes, Wednesday nights BBQs at Cafe Vita are very popular.
The food is excellent and plentiful, and as Lizilu says the price is the same as last year with the exchange rate being so good.

If anyone fancies being on Turkish TV, there will be a TV crew there for the BBQ this Wednesday night. Also there will be a belly dancer, Turkish folk dancers and live music.
