hello we are the knights from norfolk and are coming to kalkan for the first time in july,any tips on what to do and what not to do ?
we have been to turkey for the five years but usually go to icmeler but thought we would try somewhere new this year,kalkan looks lovely and we can't wait.

Welcome to the forum. I would recommend that you make use of the Search facility at the top of the page. If you are looking for good restaurants for example just type in "restaurants" and you will find links to lots of posts on favourite places. Or do you fancy a boat trip? "boat trips" should give you links to lots of different recommendations. You can likewise do searches on things like beaches, beach clubs, bars, etc.
I am sure you will find plenty of people coming up with "must do" things but a good place to start is the "Search" section. Maybe you can give us an indication of what you particularly enjoy, e.g. swimming and you will probably be inundated with suggestions from forum members of favourite places to swim.
It may be your first time in Kalkan but you might get hooked as so many of us are and keep returning. So be warned! Happy holidays.

Hi there,
We used to holiday in Icmeler for a few years before finding Kalkan and now would not return to Icmeler.
You will find Kalkan a lot quiter with no Michael jackson, dancing on bars etc., instead great restaurants with roof top terraces, beach clubs., quite a lot of places for day trips out.
I am sure you will not be disappointed.

I recently got back from my first visit to Kalkan and I was utterly charmed by town and its people. Am sure you will have a lovely time there, enjoy :)
