He must be having his last haircut before starting his blogs on June the 8th! ;D
-
Hey Bob & Jayne!
Too right, he's had his last UK haircut for a while, which reminds me, I must phone Mehmet at Jasmine to book-in for bit of an overhall, first thing on Saturday 9th June.
The Water Hammock has arrived and Mrs A has sorted out the favourite sun creams - Ambre Solaire, Factor 30, Light & Silky, 5* protection - Extra Water Resistant! Used it in Dubai, recently, and it was spot on.
Have been in touch with Adem to get me in the mood as well, and I am sure we will be there over our first weekend - Mushroom Saute followed by Lamb Shank......
Been sorting out the recipes to cook at the Villa, too, and making sure I can get the ingredients. Kitty, down at Mussakka Harbour has been a great help with this.
As Cafe Ev will be one of our closest haunts, I am looking forward to surprising them - turning up in my yellow T Shirt they gave me, with the Cafe Ev logo on. I may just walk beind the bar and grab myself an Efes as though nothing has happened! So, don' tell them!!
Sooooo lovely, the anicipation! Isn't this always the best bit?!
Kind regards
Antler

I do so agree, Antler, that the anticipation is a VERY big part of the holiday. Thinking where you will eat, looking forward to the views, envisaging lovely chilled drinks in blissful sunshine, relaxing by (or in) the pool. Need I go on? I am sure you all know the feeling as the holiday gets nearer. Then what to pack? All part of the fun.
Then as you get closer to Kalkan the anticipation gets even greater as you look out for that first sight of the bay.
Oh dear, I am now going to have to count the number of sleeps until our visit next month.
-
As you are a Tortoise ......can't you just have one big sleep till your holidays?? :D :-*
-
That is the answer, blue lizard. Glad you suggested it. So, only one BIG sleep and then it is time to head for the airport. Hope someone will water my garden between now and then while I am having my long snooze. The weather at present is meaning quite a bit of watering - but I am not going to complain. Love the sunshine.

I am becoming seriously worried for my mental health! In exactly 5 weeks we shall be on the plane winging our way to Kalkan.......a much anticipated holiday as we booked our accommodation last July! I have been counting down the weeks but strangely as the time gets nearer I want it to slow down as I love the anticipation so much......maybe its the change un the weather here that is making me feel this way? ???
Obviously I can't wait to be there though and have already made a mental list of restaurants.....leaving space to try a couple of new ones....so keep those reports coming and we have already booked a boat trip for us and friends who will be there at the same time!
-
Have to agree the anticipation is part of the holiday. We love planning where we'll eat(and that very often changes when we get there!), love getting the cases down from the attic(this weekend!!), and get really excited when we start packing them!!
Only 12 more sleeps!!
-
Come on Antler hurry up, the anticipation of waiting for your first blog is too much!!! Are you there yet?
O0 ;D
-
I was just thinking the same myself this morning. >:D
-
Try checking out Antler on Trip Advisor.
Hope the sun shines for him and his family as they enjoy a Villa Experience in Kalkan this year.
-
Yes we have AntlerDubai, last post about snorkelling on 5th June!
-
Bet he is looking forward to his hair cut in Jasmine tomorrow morning!
-
He certainly is looking forward to having his hair cut, sat here on his Ottoman Terrace, blogging on the other channel at the moment. It's 3am and I really don't want to leave this view.
But hey, I'm sure it will last us the next 17 days......
Goodnight,
Steve
