Title: Your Kalkan Guilty Pleasure
Post by: kalkan4eva on May 11, 2012, 01:48:40 PM
I've just posted on another thread that my guilty pleasure in Kalkan is Cafe Leon's carrot cake. I don't normally eat cake at home, but I can't help myself when I'm in Kalkan :o
What's your Kalkan Guilty Pleasure?

He he, snacking on pistachio nuts and those choccy biscuits from the supermarkets with caramel inside (can't remember their name but they are soo yummy straight from the fridge), drinking chilled wine in a glass from the freezer in the afternoon, followed by a nap  >:D I can't wait!!

Ooh they're my fave too.  You can get them in Asda now too, but they're not quite the same without the Lal and the sunshine!

We bring bags and bags of those nuts home - they remind me of sugar puffs, they are sooooohhhh moorish. Off to Asda as we speak, thanks turkeyfan :)

I didn't realise I could get carrot cake in Kalkan......what a wonderful combination of my two favourites. When I retire I am considering writing a book entiltled 'Carrot Cakes Around Britain' and often enjoy researching my book!!! I can now call it 'Carrot Cakes Around the World'. It may include a chapter on Cream Teas, can I get those in Kalkan? ;D

Fresh melon from the market and lovely fresh bread bread and yogurt with honey from Akbel for Breakfast.   Juicy olives and goats cheese with cucumber for lunch.
Pimmso'clock for sundowners - watching the sea turn a beautiful, still, silver aqua colour.
Drinks at Kleo bar, followed by a lovely dinner - followed by a night cap in the stillness of the night
looking at the stars on a warm moonlit evening.  Bliss!

PS  - being woken up by the Mosque at sunrise - and another day begins ....
