Title: Current evening temperatures
Post by: Mrs Enjoy Kalkan on April 25, 2012, 06:44:17 PM
Hi all

Can anyone who is in Kalkan at the moment let me know what the evening temperatures are like? I'm trying to decide what to pack and was wondering if I need trousers/jeans and cardis for the evening.

Many thanks  :)

Hi. the weather is getting warmer all the time from now on.

its still a little cooler in the evening, however, you need only light weight cardi, pashmina/wraps. If you are a jeans girl then only your lighter weight ones and the same with trousers. i  find it still a little cold to have bare legs in the evening unless it is a long dress but linens are enough :), its hot in the day now, so summer has definately arrived in kalkan.

have a great holiday. :) :) :)

That's great news. Have never been to Kalkan early in the year so it is really useful to know what to pack for the Hols. 5 days to go (not that I'm counting).

I'd be cold with just a pashmina at night. At the moment I am on the terrace with a light top and a thickish cardigan and am just right. Up to last night we found it a bit cold to sit out to eat and needed a fleece when we got back for last drinks on the terrace. It is however getting warmer. a few days ago it was lovely and warm in the sun but coolish if you were in the shade. Yesterday and today that has changed and it is still warm out of the sun in the day.

going early or late in the season, I always pack one of those little plastic poncho things (don't judge me :P). It takes up virtually no space in your bag when you go out for the evening and in an instant you will be protected from the rain. It doesn't exactly go with my blinged up footwear but it does the job. BH and I walk everywhere in Kalkan, even in the rain, so I've found it invaluable.

When travelling anywhere I always look at a range of forecasts and choose my favourite!
At the moment just looking at the live web cams warms the cockles of my heart.....nothing else is warm!! ::)

Hi

well i am just checking in before bed, and am now confused.
today has been very hot in kalkan for me. short sleeve top and didnt change until pj time.

also my OH is flying out on friday to join me and i have said the weather forecast is hot and sunny next week between 19/21 most days. i checked this with KTLN so i have not looked at other weather forecast elsewhere.

i to have a plastic poncho thingy, i better dig it out and stick it in my bag, poor hubby i have told him short sleeves and one cashmere jumper and light weight trousers. at least his feet will be dry , as he is not a shorts and sandals guy, always long pants and socks and soft shoes, so one of us is going to be o.k   i hope i am right and summer is here,,, oh dear..........................
