Hi all,
Am new to this forum, my husband and I are visiting Kalkan for the first time at the end of September this year and very excited.
Even though it's a while off we're trying to get everything sorted now in terms of transfers etc. We are on a bit of a budget so are looking at cheaper transfers, e.g. Transfers4U and Travel Republic, who both offer return transfers for two people for about £75.
I know it won't be as seamless an experience as getting a door-to-door private car, but I wondered if anyone had any good or bad experiences with either of these transfer companies, or an idea of how long it would take from Dalaman to Kalkan using them - as there are no time indications on either website.

Hi Ceri, Worth registering with Airport Transfer Share Website The site offers a service that connects people looking to make the same journey to and from an airport. Alternatively most transfer companies in Kalkan offer a private return in a car for 2 at £110.

Charlie - I think that will be be because of the KTLN links fiasco - the airport share transfer service is linked to KTLN - try reposting it again and hopefully the link will work this time!! :)

The Transfers4U service and the Travel Repbulic service is run by Yesil Dalyan in Fethiye, at least it was last year. if you put Yesil Dalyan into the search box on enjoy kalkan, you will find a number of comments on the service, mixed views. Quite a few, including me, have tried them. Personally for two people I just didn't think the savings were worth the hassle, and I gave up using them.

Felicity I think you may be right as I tried to amend my first post and it won't allow me to! I was not recommending transfers 4u. I will send a pm to MrsC1701 giving her the website address. Only yesterday a few posts recommended villa rental sites and today I can't recommend a transfer company, Don't understand why you can add one website and not another - confusing or what? And overall not very helpful to EK members especially new ones!

I along with many others thought this website about ENJOYING KALKAN and about helping each other with tips and advice. If advice and tips can only be given if they are endorsed by EK, less and less members will be inclined to comment on posts and offer advice which in my personal opinion will be a shame. :(

Maybe someone from EK will let us know why some links are allowed, others not.

Hi Everyone,
It appears our link checking technology is not actually working - I have removed it for now until the team get it working. We are currently migrating EK en-mass to a whole new platform which should sort everything out

I have used transfers4U several times.We have had a car direct from the airport for just the 2 of us and another time a shuttle to Fethiye office and transfered to a 32 seater bus onwards to Kas again just the 2 of us.No complaints.Journey time beween 2 to 4 hours depending on number of passengers.We have always travelled alone from Fethiye office
In fact I am just going to book a return to Kas later today. 10/10
