Unfortunately we will not be able to be in Kalkan for this 2011/2012 NYE however looking into the future (as the lads currently19&17, get older and don't want to hold the NYE party at our house in the UK!) we hope to be able to celebrate in Kalkan.. I can fully understand the fireworks and dancing on NYE but what is this swimming on NYD about? is it just a plunge in the sea or a serious swim?  how many people take part? Sounds like a great way to bring in the new year and clear a slight hangover but don't think I could manage any form of open water race!
