Hopefully this won't sound like advertising but I recently applied at the Kemer Police station for my new Resident's permit and everything went extremely smoothly. The main reason for the slick handling of the operation, in my case, was the assistance of Ilker, the well known owner of the stationery shop next to Bezirgans Kitchen. It took him about 10 minutes to compile a complete dosier which was accepted by the Kemmer office without a murmour.
I have heard recently of numerous false starts and hick-ups over this process so was very impressed with the way things worked out.
