Title: Preview of Kalkans Virtual Tour (work in progress)
Post by: hobbo on October 31, 2011, 08:22:58 AM
All
I spent some time out yesterday to make a start on the virtual tours, more scenes will be added (as time permits) and hope to have it interactive with a street map soon.
But here for your amusement:

www.gyrapix.co.uk/360/tours/Kalkan_Town/Gyrapix_Kalkan_Town.html (http://www.gyrapix.co.uk/360/tours/Kalkan_Town/Gyrapix_Kalkan_Town.html)

once loaded you can click and drag the image to rotate and look around (Ctrl and Shift zoom in and out) click on a thumbnail to change scenes, double click and it opens full screen..

Regards

Stuart

I love it Hobbo. Thanks for taking the time to do it. Perhaps EK or KTLN (or both) will have a menu item to link to it when it is finished?

These are brilliant. I know a lot of work has gone into them and also a lot of skill, you are very clever.  :)

I know how cheeky this is and I will reward you with plentiful Efes but may I put a link to them on my website? I'm quite happy to link to your website if you wish.

Komsu Wendy.

Many thanks to all for the nice comments.
If any owners want to use the tour on their own website that is fine by me just send me a PM so that I know where it is being used (and so I can let you know of changes issues etc.) you can either use the above link as a hyperlink or I can send you a line of code so that it can appear as an iframe on an existing page. Efes rarely rejected!

I have stayed in the 'old' town for this 1st phase for logistical reasons, as time allows I will add more scenes from the various areas and hope to integrate with a google map.

Regards

Stuart

near the Mediterranean Apartments.....they link the road that goes down from Kalamar Road with the very steep hill down to the harbour
when we were there two weeks ago and it was raining we learnt that the area next to the steps is a very important part of the drainage system and it was like a water fall....then the water went under the raod and came out closer to the Pirat hotel and then into a drain. Obviously I would have preferred not to have learnt that!! >:D

Der! Of course, thanks for that, they cut out the top part of the Pirat bank or cardiac hill as it's called. I have used those steps a couple of times when stopping at the Dionysia, did not recognise them at first but I do now.. Must get my glasses changed!! 8)
The steps have only been there in the last 2 years to my thoughts.

Now updated with a few more images..

www.gyrapix.co.uk/360/tours/Kalkan_Town/Gyrapix_Kalkan_Town.html (http://www.gyrapix.co.uk/360/tours/Kalkan_Town/Gyrapix_Kalkan_Town.html)

I will be shooting and adding more images next April/May (whilst in Kalkan opening our villa up for 2012 and shooting a few virtual tours for clients villas), I will try to shoot from local beaches, beach clubs etc etc etc

does anyone have a map that I could integrate the tour with? google maps doesn't have the new D400 on...

many thanks for all the feedback it has been fabulous.
I am still working on integration with google maps and will have something ready by Jan/Feb
I am sure that some of you will have already seen the existing 360s are now available via the KTLN web site.
I will be shooting and adding more scenes early 2012 for a pre season release, so suggestions of view points please (suggestions of 'my villa please' accepted but at a cost..lol). I'm really after locations that work in 360 and show kalkan off.

regards

Stuart

I love this.  Reminds me of a wonderful two weeks spend in Kalkan back in the summer.   :'(
