Title: Pide recipe
Post by: JenJen on September 12, 2011, 12:08:08 PM
I made really nice pide last night using this recipe:

http://www.petersommer.com/turkey-travel-country/turkish-food-cuisine/pide-pizza/

It came out really light and tasty.  I've used other recipes in the past which have been lovely but much more bready and doughy so this one is worth trying if you want a light base.  It was a nice little taste of Turkey to keep us going until we can eat real Turkish food in Kalkan in 4 days time  :D

yum - got to try doing a cheese one!  Did you use plain flour or strong flour?

I just used plain flour.  I made the tomato, onion and garlic topping they suggest in their recipe (with lots of extra garlic though) and then topped with feta, mozzarella and sliced green peppers.....delicious!

Mmm that sounds delicious. I've just had a look at the recipe, might try it at the weekend. Love pide's. Thanks for posting the link.
