Today is not flaming June in Brighton. It's soggy, windy June; there are branches of trees down and my youngest daughter has spent lots of (my) money in Burger King, because it's too wet for her and her friends to go to the beach or the park. (Perish the thought she may want to stay at home with dear old ma and pa.)
Today is just the sort of day I love looking at pictures of Kalkan and working out how many days, hours and minutes it will be until we get there, because I really REALLY want to relax in that beautiful, friendly and oh so sunny place.

I know exactly what you mean, as I sit here watching the rain come down as it has all day.
This time last week, Ray and I were coming to the end of a fortnights holiday in Zante. We could not wait to get home after a bit of a "mixed bag" holiday.
It sometimes takes a change to make you realise what you take for granted. In our case, it hit home just how much we love Kalkan, warts, dogs and all!!
Roll on September when we can get back.

just back in from a long walk with my puppy and we're both soaked through ::) Can't believe that some parts of the UK are suffering from drought! Believe me they are more than welcome to the gallons of rain that have poured almost incessantly from the skies above a drookit central Scotland over the past month or so. Just under 3 weeks til I get some respite under the hopefully blue skies of Kalkan :)

And here we are in Kalkan with no water for the past 2 weeks, can you bring some of that rain with you?

I'll be out in 2 weeks and since the rain seems to follow me everywhere I go, no doubt I shall bring it along :P
