Title: Turkish dinner time
Post by: debbo1 on June 11, 2011, 09:54:20 AM
 Hi

We're visiting Kalkan for the first time this year.  Wondered what best time to head out for dinner is?  We always have to adjust when we visit Greece as no one seems to serve before 8-9 and want to be in time for fresh food but not too late as to not be able to get a table.  Any advice?

We went last year for the first time and we ate at about 9pm most days which seemed quite normal.

Hi Debbo

Last year, our first time to Kalkan we sat down most nights at 8 o'clock which was a good time for us, most restaurants are quite busy at this time so if u want anywhere specific u need to book its all down to preferable taste really what time u like to eat. U will not be disappointed when or wherever u eat as most restaurants blew us away with the quality of the food and service. Enjoy your holiday we can't wait for ours only 4 sleeps to go.

It really depends on what time of year you are going and how many is in your party. As a couple, you can probably choose what time suits you and if you are there in peak weeks, you might need to book in some of the more popular restaurants. As a family, you my find it more difficult to be seated, particularly in the smaller restaurants, so it might be an idea to book beforehand, whatever time of year you go. If you want to eat early, there's plenty of places that will cater for you and we've sat down to eat in a restaurant as late as 10pm...there really is that much choice. Have a great holiday :)
