Title: English Songs
Post by: jeanne65 on May 31, 2011, 06:32:01 AM
English is not my first language, English music is not my first choice of music, the following list is selected from the very limited number of English music CDs I have.

1)   In My Life     -- Beatles
2)   Unchained Melody     -- Righteous Brothers
3)   Feeling Good     -- Nina Simone
4)   Another Day In Paradise     -- Phil Collins
5)   Ain't No Sunshine     -- Bill Withers
6)   Let It Be     -- Beatles
7)   My Heart Will Go On     -- Celine Dion
8)   I Will Always Love You     -- Whitney Houston
9)   Hello Is It Me     -- Lionel Richie
10)   Buffalo Soldier     -- Bob Marley

Title: English Songs read sporting anthems
Post by: Wally on June 01, 2011, 10:00:29 AM
;) Just a little interlude on the theme of English songs. Thought I would add a version of great sporting anthems :

1/  Jerusalem
2/  Flower of Scotland
3/  Bread of Heaven
4/  Swing Low Sweet Chariott
5/  The Haka (New Zealand)
6/  Molly Malone
7/  Soshalloza (South Africa)
8/  Waltzing Matilda (Australia)
9/  You'll Never Walk Alone
10/  Keep Right on to the End of the Road

Nothing like hearing a sporting crowd singing anyone of the above to send a shiver down your spine  :'( :'( :'(
