Hi,
does anyone know what the exchange rate is in Kalkan at the moment? I fly out on Monday and M&S are offering 2.53 which is much better than usual.
Thanks

M&S have been giving the best rates over here for the Turkish Lira for some weks now and you do not get charged any extra;s, today it is 2.552.
We have bough most of ours from them this year.

Do you know if there is commission on this rate?

If anyone has the chance there is a jewellers opposite Sado's cafe along the main street in Dalaman that offers virtually the current exchange rate and obviously no commission. Useful if you maybe hire a car from Dalaman and arrive at an decent hour.

Thomas Exchange (not to be confused with Thomas Cook) in the UK give a much better rate than M&S - commission free.

I got 2.522 at M&S, commission free, on Thursday

I got 2.55 at the little kiosk outside the PTT 2 days ago. They appeared to be giving the best rate however it can change through the day.

2.55 with tesco online and delivered free next day special delivery if you order over £500
always best to check out http://travelmoney.moneysavingexpert.com/ to see who is offering the best rate but we always prefer to use a name we know and trust just to be on the safe side

Genarally, 2.55 for the past 2 weeks but the little gift shop down from Yarden jewellers was offering 2.6 at one point. ;)
