I cannot see anything on the news feeds about an Earthquake so it cannot have caused any damage.

3.1 is very small Fleetwood near Blackpool had a 2.9 a month or two ago.

Just to put your minds at rest I am in Kalkan and didn't feel a thing! I am sure that if you ask most people here they will say the same thing. There was an earthquake some months ago where the epicentre was in the sea not far from Kaş and it was said to be over 5 on the Richter scale but again very few people even felt it and no damage was done. So please don't worry everything is fine here.

We felt nothing and the Turkish seismicity site does not list any quake activity here, or even near here, in the last few days:  http://www.koeri.boun.edu.tr/sismo/map/en/sevendays.html (http://www.koeri.boun.edu.tr/sismo/map/en/sevendays.html)

BTW, apparently there are TWO Kalkans in Turkey, I once saw this on a map.

Cossetta is right, I didn't notice this when I first read Emma's post, this is a completely different Kalkan much, much further north, nearer Istanbul than Kalkan.
