My husband, son and I are traveling to Turkey at the end of June for 2 weeks to celebrate our 40th birthdays. Our primary purpose for traveling to Turkey was to sail on a gulet for 1 week with another family (4 adults and 2 children). However, after reading about Kalkan I am really disappointed we did not spend the majority of our trip there instead because it seems like absolute heaven! We were looking to stay there for at least a couple of nights, but it seems impossible to find any place to stay for less than 1 week. We have pretty discriminating taste. Does anyone have any suggestions for us??? Please help!!

I think you will be unlikely to get a rental self catering villa/apartment for less than 7 days. Would therefore suggest a hotel and you could try emailing direct to Pasha, Samira or Oasis hotels. I think they may do nightly stays.

You may get a rental for a few days. Some owners don't insist on the same changeover day and consequently can end up with a gap of a few days between bookings. If you use holidaylettings.co.uk put in your dates you can see what comes up. If you check the availability page for each you will be able to see if it is a short gap between bookings or a week block, which they aren't likely to split.

dsinger - if you send me pm with the exact dates I may be able to help

Check out the White House in Kalkan at http://www.kalkanwhitehouse.co.uk/index.php. We have just booked for 2 nights in Sept. due to an overlap of rental bookings.

If you send me a PM with your requirements and dates etc, I'll see if I can help as I have some 'odd' durations available at a couple of our villas which might fit the bill.

If you decide to go for the hotel option, try booking.com who have quite a few hotels willing to accept bookings of less than a week. They also show the type of rooms available, some of which include family rooms for 3 or 4 persons. We booked a hotel through them for 1 night in September and the price was actually less than shown on the hotel's own web site.

Yep,I recommend booking.com,use them all the time and never had a problem :)
