Until very recently, the Likya, Asfiya, Oasis and Yali hotels were marketed by Tapestry.
They do not now appear on Tapestry's website.
Can anyone tell me who is now marketing them for 2011 ?

Have Tapestry pulled out of Kalkan totally? Met up with some friends yesterday, they showed me the letter they received - pity they had already paid for 7 people for this Summer, however good news - they can have a holiday in Egypt or Morocco! >:D
-
Did they get their money back??
I'm sure someone else will take over, otherwise there'll be a lot of empty hotels and villas this year!!
-
I think these hotels now work with exclusive escapes

They don't show them on their website......
-
Maryjane - what did the letter say ??
-
They aren't working with Ex Esc - there are several hotels and villas inc Likya and Asfiya which are now going through a company called the 'Discerning Collection' but not sure who this is affiliated with or run by. May be run by Aykan who own the hotels with a UK office? Not sure at the moment.

Good morning. I thought it might be useful to respond to this post, as it is clear from the number of telephone calls into our office and the posts on this site that there is some confusion around the changes to arrangements regarding Tapestry's product in Kalkan. With immediate effect the Turquoise Collection will be offering the former Tapestry property for the 2011 season.

Stephanie is the Turquoise Collection also the Discerning Collection? As I see the DC website also offers the same hotels. Thanks

The Asfiya Hotel is now on the Turquoise Collection website but the Discerning Collection website says they will be marketing the Asfiya Hotel exclusivily ! All very confusing......
-
The email we got from Likya said they were working with Discerning. I contacted them but was a bit nervous as they seem to be a new company. After much thought we decided the simplest option was to book direct. Yet to receive our refund from Travelzest!

Hello
I thought I should introduce ourselves and hopefully clear up any confusion!
Due to many changes at Tapestry Collection, including becoming more mainstream and their relocation from London to Cheltenham, the old Tapestry team (Beata and Charlie and many of the overseas staff) have set up the Discerning Collection alongside our business partner Aslan from the Aykan Group; owner many luxury villas and boutique hotels in Kalkan.
We are a small specialist tour operator focussing on luxury holidays to Turkey, Greece and Morocco. We know our properties and regions intimately, having stayed in most of the properties we feature. Due to the late set up of DC, owner Aslan is also marketing his accommodation via other operators, however, if you would like to book either just the accommodation or the whole package, we are happy to do this for you. We are fully ATOL protected as we are part of Travel Counsellors for you peace of mind.
We are proud of our service and can tell you everything you need to know about your chosen accommodation - even how much sun you will get on your balcony at most of our hotels!
Our brochure is due out soon and we are working hard behind the scenes to get our website top notch - but in the meantime, for more information or to request a brochure, please email us at info@discerningcollection.com or call us on 020 8994 7440.
