In today's Sunday Times there is a piece about high prices in Turkey prompted by an article they ran about scandalous prices at Gatwick which then prompted responses along the line of, they are nothing compared to Dalaman and details of £15 Burger King meals, £10.43 for a big Mac, £9 for a glass of wine and £5 for a small water.
This tickled me as I have always thought the best thing about Dalaman prices was just how cheap it makes other airports seem, in comparison they are practically giving stuff away at Gatwick and Heathrow.
On a more serious note they have taken it up with the relevant authorities, no not the guy serving at Burger King, and maybe they will realise that having articles about extortionate prices in Turkey in the press will cost more in lost tourism than they are likely to make out of overpriced burgers (The article also referred to the earlier Post Office report that Turkey is now over 50% more expensive to holiday in than Greece, Spain or Portugal).

When I was last at Dalaman Airport I looked in my Turkish phrase book for " I thought highway robbery was illegal now" based on the prices...four drinks four Danish's £26 !!!!!

>:( Maybe Dala Man is like the turkish equivalent of Dick Turpin?..........highway robbery!!..i agree that by comparison Gatwick etc seem reasonable...£3.30 for a pinta is a lot better than 7 quidlies!!(or more)!!
we won't bother now at the airport next year.Now i'm not a tight wad but i won't be ripped either! This year 2 teas in a carboard cup like a vending machine ...but not as nice :o was 18 TL..this was upstairs in the two stand alone places opposite the pizza and kfc..ones a bar the other is refreshments...the refreshments and prices aren't refreshing!!!....oh and no price list!! i wonder why? >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(
