Just a question if any one knows the answer how come the sunbeds on the beach don't come with cushions - I for one would be happy to pay a bit extra if they were supplied as I ended up with a bad back every time this year. there may be a logical explanation but would also like to hear anyone elses views if they think this could be a good idea!!

I bought some fold up sunbed mattresses on holiday in Croatia which i now use in Kalkan,im sure they could be copied by one of of the places where they make cushions etc
I use mine at the beach & Patara etc,they have 3 pieces of foam stitched in sections then they concertina and tie with a carrying handle and they easily fitted in my suitcase.Ive actually thought about taking them into a local shop to be copied im sure they would go down a bomb.

I'm sure they would what a great idea - if u do get them made please let me know I would be interested.

Just guessing, but on windy days they would all fly away, likewise there are none at patara beach either. although there are council workers who come along and collect money for the umbrellas and sunbeds, they are not around all the time as they also take mooring fees from visiting boats.
the man who looks after the beach tells us that most nights a sunbed is vandalised on the beach, so i am sure they would not want the added problem of looking after cushions.

No they wont blow away the strings of the handle could tie through the lats of the sunbed,they really are comfy too!
If anyone wants to have a look at them or want to have any made im next in Kalkan 29th April to 16th May. :)

I got Osman to make me one this year, he copied one that I got in Malta 10 years ago. It cost 50tl which I thought was quite expensive, it would be too thick to pack in a suitcase though.
