Hi everyone
we are visiting kalkan for the 4th time this year,we usually get transfers but decided we want to pick  a car up at Dalaman can anyone suggest any car hire companies?

I''ve booked my car hire through this website and just had a confirmation email from Addatours - seemed easy enough to do.

If you book through Adda Tours, one of their reps will meet you at the airport, take you to the car and give you the keys.  Easy!
Also Jon has very clear directions how to drive to Kalkan on this site, so print a copy out and take it with you.  Have a fab holiday.

We book car hire via Emin at "enestourism" <info@enesrentacar.net> They are by the harbour in Kalkan. Sometimes we pick up the car at Dalaman and drive ourselves, on occasions we have had a night flight & a few drinkies on the plane we have asked for a driver and because we have car hire for the duration they drive us to Kalamar and only charge for the petrol.  It''s a good deal :-)

After a particularly expensive quotation from the car hire company we have used previously (fethiyerentacar) we decided to go with Proper Car in October.

Very good price, excellent service and clean cars.  Have booked with them again for our week at New Year - £108 for the week with zero excess on the insurance.  No need for expensive taxis!

Please can I just remind all forum members to check the company you use is Tursab registered. When I was negotiating with companies to team up with EnjoyKalkan it was amazing how many hire car companies did not actually hold a license!!

We have discovered that Paradise Cars give the best deal and have well maintained cars, also you can deal with Hilary a retired teacher from the UK who handles the bookings and pick up arrangements ....http://www.paradisekgb.com/rental.html

Can I just endorse Proper Car Rental at Dalaman Airport. Very efficient, very nice people, reasonable prices.

Without going into too much detail we were involved in a very serious car accident just outside of their rental office when returning our hire car on the way home on Friday 11th Jan

The manager of the office, Ersan, who witnessed the accident - assisted us at the scene, accompanied us to the hospital, to the police station to make our statements and still somehow got us to the airport to catch our flight home - bloodied, battered and bruised as we were!!!

Really can''t thank him enough, his only concern was our well-being.

however if the car hire is in dalaman . that would be better

Hi Chris
Visit www.propercar.com and you will find contact details and an electronic reservations form.
We have used them 5 times in the past year and have found them to be reliable.
The cars seem to be mostly less than a year old and well maintained.
They will collect you outside the arrivals hall and take you to their office in Dalaman nearby to complete the paperwork which just takes a few minutes.
I find that now they know my details, the forms are already filled in when we arrive and just need a signature and payment.

Hi Chris,

If you book your car rental through Enjoy Kalkan you can have a car waiting at Dalaman Airport for you for no extra charge.  :D

Last October we booked car hire through EK (Adda) and a very nice man met us at the arrivals, took us to the car and sent us on our merry way to Kalkan.  We didn''t fill in any paperwork which was very handy at 5.00am nor did he look at our driving licence or passport and just asked us to call into Adda''s office later that day.  It was very easy and when we returned in the car to Dalaman we just left the car in the car park - unlocked, with the key under the mat and the parking ticket inside the car.  Adda are certainly trusting!!

We''ve booked with Adda again for next month.
