Years ago someone leant me a book about a lady who settled in Turkey for a year in the 50's. As I recall she settled in central Anotolia, eventually Ankara sending a deligation to see her as they were concerned about her welfare in a Turkish village.
The book was great and all I can remember was it had oranges in the title.
Does anyone know this book and the actual title. I'd love to get a copy.

The only one I can think of is Dinner of Herbs by Carla Grissman.
But her stay in Anatolia was in the 1960s I think, and it doesn't have 'oranges' in the title....
It's a really good book though, so if you can't find the one you're thinking of, then get a copy of this instead.

, and it doesn't have 'oranges' in the title....
But the cover looks orange coloured! ;D So often I forget a name & am convinced that it begins, for example, with a 'W' & then when I remember it it's a 'B'!!
We are all getting older & so have so much more information (& wisdom ;D ) stored up!!
Will deffo be looking out for a copy of that, heyho!
